Jessica J. Zerbst received her law degree from the University of Wisconsin. Before then she obtained her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude from Michigan Technological University in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. To provide practical accounting/tax experience she worked in the Internal Auditing Department at Michigan Technological University, at the State of Michigan Auditor's Office, and in the tax department at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
Using her law degree and accounting knowledge Jessica's practice now focuses on representing transactional business and real estate clients, as well as divorce clients, with a special emphasis on those divorces involving businesses and real estate.
• Jessica counsels a wide variety of small to medium sized companies in all aspects of their operations, including acquisitions and sales. She works with corporations, limited liability companies, limited partnerships, limited liability partnerships, and general partnerships in their organization, operation and dissolution phases.
• Jessica also represents a wide variety of property owners, users, and investors. She advises them on issues of boundary disputes, easements and drafts a wide variety of real estate related agreements such as land contracts, shared drive agreements, and sales agreements. As a landlord herself, Jessica brings much practical experience to her representation of business owners, landlord-tenant issues and real estate transactions.
• Jessica has represented clients in family law matters including divorce, support, and property division litigation, cotenancy, and marital property agreements. She also provides general civil litigation services.
Jessica has served as the President of her local Business Networking International Chapter, has been involved in the Madison Area Business Association, the National Builder's Association, the Apartment Association of South Central Wisconsin, and has been asked to speak on the radio with respect to her knowledge of real estate transactions.
