John Moore received his B.S. degree in 1963 and his law degree in 1966 from the University of Wisconsin. John joined the Dane County District Attorney's Office in June of 1966 and remained there until he joined the predecessor firm of Bell, Gierhart & Moore in 1968. John's practice is concentrated in civil litigation defense work, including products liability, premises liability, automobile accidents, civil rights, municipal liability and defense of professionals. In recent years he has served regularly as a mediator and/or arbitrator.
John has been invited to become a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America, "Super Lawyers" and Madison Magazine's Top Lawyers in Madison. He has written articles published in professional journals and has served as a guest lecturer at the University of Wisconsin Law School.
He and his wife, Renee, have two grown sons and two grandsons.
