Laura Lyons graduated magna cum laude from Lake Forest College with a BA in Psychology and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. She graduated from Marquette University Law School in 2005 and earned CALI Awards (highest grade) in Legal Writing and Advanced Trial Practice.

Laura primarily practices civil litigation, including insurance defense, medical malpractice defense and worker's compensation defense. She is a member of the Wisconsin Defense Counsel (formerly CTCW), the Dane County Bar Association, the Wisconsin Association of Worker's Compensation Attorneys (WAWCA) and the State Bar of Wisconsin.

She attended the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA) program "Building Trial Skills" in 2006 and was a 2007 graduate of the Madison CIVITAS program. She has volunteered as a mock trial and moot court judge in Dane and Rock counties.

Laura was born in Janesville, Wisconsin and lives in Madison. She has been a Big Sister in Dane County's Big Brothers Big Sisters program since March 2006. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, running, reading, and playing soccer.
