Roger Gierhart's Association with Bell, Moore & Richter, S.C. commenced when he was hired as a law clerk in 1957. Upon his graduation from the University of Wisconsin Law School he was hired as an Associate Attorney and shortly thereafter was made a member partner of the firm.
Roger was born April 13, 1931 in Argyle, Wisconsin and married his wife Ruth on October 1, 1960. They have two children and five grandchildren.
Roger interrupted his college education to enlist in the United States Air Force in January of 1951 and was the 1,000th Wisconsin enlistee in the Air Force since commencement of the Korean war. Roger was administered the oath of enlistment by Governor Walter Kohler.
After basic and specialized training, he was assigned to a Security Intelligence Information squadron in Japan and Korea and served in Korea until the end of his four-year enlistment term on January 10, 1955.
Roger's practice of law has been a varied one consisting of individual and corporate business organization and planning and related litigation with particular emphasis on insurance company litigation operation and planning. Roger assisted Reliable Life and Casualty Company to litigate, plan and restructure the company following its takeover by the Wisconsin Commissioner of Insurance and served as its General Counsel, officer and director until the sale of the company.
Roger, in association with CT System, acted as Registered Agent for over 800 Insurance companies and several thousand business corporations doing business in Wisconsin.
Roger now limits his individual practice of law to transitioning business and individual clients to other members of the firm.
Roger and his wife Ruth now reside at Lake Wisconsin and enjoy the activities of their children and grandchildren, boating, fishing, skiing and golfing at Lake Wisconsin Country Club.
